Our maths courses are for anyone looking to improve their confidence in using their maths skills in everyday situations. They cover the essential practical calculations, measurements and data handling skills we all need to be successful, whether that’s to find new work or career opportunities or to enrich your daily life.

Welcome to English and Maths course

This course is right for you if:

  • you don't have a level 1 qualification
  • you haven't been in a classroom for a long time
  • you're worried or anxious about returning to learning

Calculations course

This course is right for you if:

  • you already have confidence in your own skills and abilities
  • you can commit to learning
  • you're clear about what you need to achieve
  • you have gained a maths qualification previously

You'll have the chance to revisit the core calculation skills you need to be successful in further maths learning.

Further maths learning

Once you have completed one of our ‘Welcome to English and Maths’ or ‘Calculations’ courses, our team can help you choose one or more of the following courses that suits your level and goals:

  • Functional Maths Level 1
  • Functional Maths Level 2
