Children in care and care leavers
Coronavirus (COVID-19) update
We’re closely monitoring the developments around COVID-19. We take your health and wellbeing seriously and are working to the latest government and National Youth Agency advice on how we can continue our support through the pandemic using other ways of communication and technology.
Our suspension of physical group and evening provisions and contacts continues, and we'll continue to monitor the situation whilst supporting young people and volunteers in a safe way.
- You can still contact the Children’s Rights and Advocacy Service for looked after children, young people and care leavers by phoning 07766 698023 or by email.
- Members of the Care4Us Council will be contacted individually to look at how they can still be active and involved in some ongoing pieces of work. For information about the Care4Us Council please email us.
- The independent visitor service is still accessible by phone on 07789 653781 or email.
In care or leaving care? Information just4u
If you're in care we'll make sure your life's as normal as possible; you'll still be able to do the things you used to, like going to school, seeing your friends and family, and having fun.
Our pledge tells you how we'll care for you, make sure you get a good education, help you enjoy life and prepare you for the future.
Leaving care and becoming independent is a big step, so before you leave we'll make sure that you're well prepared.
