Making Barnsley a safer place to live, work and play.
In Barnsley, we take our safeguarding duties very seriously. We work with lots of different groups to make sure children and young people, and adults with care and support needs, are protected from harm or neglect.
Our Safeguarding Children Partnership and Safeguarding Adults Board are in charge of leading safeguarding arrangements in the borough. They oversee and coordinate the effectiveness of the work of their members and partner groups.
Safeguarding is everyone's business. If you're worried a child or adult is being harmed or abused, please report it so we can put a stop to it.
