Council Tax reviews

We're required by law to maintain accurate up to date Council Tax records. As part of this responsibility, we'll conduct reviews of discounts and exemptions from time to time. 

This is to make sure discounts and exemptions are correctly applied, and that there have not been any changes which could have affected entitlement.

Disabled reduction review

We’re currently conducting a review of all Council Tax accounts in receipt of a disabled reduction.

You may have recently received a text, email or letter to complete an online form to confirm your disabled reduction entitlement. These are genuine and should be completed to make sure you keep your reduction.

Your reduction may be removed if we don't receive a response.

We’re currently conducting a review of all Council Tax accounts receiving Class E exemption; property left empty due to person in permanent nursing/care home.

If you've received a text and/or email requesting you to complete a secure online form to confirm your circumstances have not changed this is genuine and should be completed to make sure you keep your exemption.

Your exemption may be removed if we don’t receive a response.

If you received a text, email or letter regarding the review and didn’t respond we may contact you in due course to confirm your entitlement. Should you need to inform us of any changes to your circumstances that could affect your entitlement please complete one of our online forms to change your details for council tax
