About Healthy Holidays

Healthy Holidays is about supporting families who might need extra help to access food and activities to keep their children healthy through the school holidays. It's run in partnership with Good Food Barnsley and the Department for Education.

If your child receives free school meals as you/they receive a qualifying benefit, you were able to apply for a good food box for the Easter and spring half term holidays. The box contained ingredients to make delicious and healthy meals for your child's lunchtime meal.

Future Healthy Holidays

During the summer, October half term and Christmas school holidays we'll be offering holiday clubs in the community in replacement of the good food box. At the holiday club your child will receive a substantial healthy meal, as well as being able to take part in a range of activities.

If you received a good food box for the spring half term holidays, please take a few minutes to complete our feedback questionnaire and tell us your thoughts; this will help us shape future Healthy Holidays.
