The Barnsley Walking Festival is back!

The Barnsley Walking Festival is back with more than 200 activities on offer to get residents walking this May.

From one of the many friendly walking groups, guided walks with experts and walking sports sessions, we've got a packed schedule across our beautiful borough with many of the events free of charge and plenty of variety to help you get out and get active.

The festival will also cover Mental Health Awareness Week, which is encouraging people to move more for their mental health.

A social worker degree apprenticeship, delivered by Sheffield Hallam University, will combine on and off the job learning and development and supports the development of social work trainees across a wide range of settings, such as early help services, looked after children and safeguarding teams.
