Notice of vacancy in office of Councillor
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that a casual vacancy exists in the office of Councillor for the Kingstone Ward of Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council.
As this vacancy has arisen within six calendar months of the ordinary date of election for this seat it will be filled at the next Local Government elections on Thursday 2 May 2024 in line with Section 89(3) of the Local Government Act 1972.
