Council leader announces changes to Cabinet membership
Barnsley Council Leader Councillor William Brown has confirmed changes to his Cabinet this week.
Councillor Luke Wheat has been appointed as Cabinet Spokesperson for Regeneration and Assets, while Councillor David Goddard has been appointed as Cabinet Spokesperson for Environment and Transport.
Councillor Alan Parker J.P. has also been appointed as Support Member for Environment and Transport.
The leader took the opportunity to review his team following a recent resignation due to health issues.
Councillor William Brown, Leader of Barnsley Council, said: “These changes strengthen our Cabinet team and make sure we have the right leadership and support in place across these important areas of council business.“I look forward to working with Councillors Wheat, Goddard and Parker as they take up these roles and support the council’s work for Barnsley residents.”
The changes take effect immediately.
