Penistone East ward by-election results announced
Following the resignation of a former council member, a council by-election was held in the Penistone East ward on Thursday 20 August.
The electorate was 8,674, there were 7 rejected ballot papers and the voter turnout was 38.58% (3,346 votes cast).
John Roberts, of the Labour Party, has been duly elected to serve the Penistone East ward.
