We work in partnership with the NHS to offer confidential information, advice and disposal of clinical waste from your home.
Healthcare waste from an otherwise healthy individual can usually be disposed of as general household waste. This includes items such as:
- incontinence pads
- catheter bags
- stoma bags
- syringes which have had their needles removed
- ‘peg’ or stomach feeding equipment
This should be bagged and disposed of as general rubbish in the grey bin.
If you have a medically diagnosed infection any resultant healthcare waste is classified as infectious waste and may require special treatment. Please contact your healthcare provider to arrange disposal of this waste.
