Barnsley Early Start and Family Services
Supporting inclusive practice
The Including Me toolkit is for Early Years settings in Barnsley and has been produced by a range of professionals from health, social care, education and inclusion. It includes information about supporting children with individual needs to make sure they're able to participate fully in the setting, are safe and can achieve the best possible outcomes.
The toolkit provides information on the processes to follow and who to contact if more support is required. It also includes template forms, care plans and risk assessments, as well as good practice and statutory guidance to make sure a setting is prepared and able to meet the individual needs of a child.
Remember, children with individual needs and complex health needs have the same rights to attend a setting as any other child.
