Under age sales

There are strict laws making it illegal to sell certain items to children and young people.

Some items are considered to present a real risk to children and young peoples health and welfare.

These items include

  • fireworks and
  • knives

It is illegal for age-restricted products to be sold to those who are below the specified age limit. A trader can be prosecuted and may lose their livelihood for making an illegal sale.
