Trade at our local markets

Footware Outdoor Market Trader

Trading at local markets is a great way to become part of your local community and get to know the people and businesses that add to an area.

You can trade at our regular traditional markets in Hoyland, Penistone and Wombwell, as well as specialist markets and seasonal events in these locations and in Goldthorpe.

If you want to trade at the outdoor market in Barnsley town centre, see our webpage about trading at Barnsley outdoor market instead.

Selling food and drink

For specialist markets and one-time events, you can apply for a temporary authorisation by submitting a Temporary Event Notice (TEN). You'll need to provide us with evidence of this before you can trade at a market.
