Goldthorpe - Monday

Reopening on Monday 13 June, next to Goldthorpe Library, S63 9NE

  • Outdoor market with fixed stalls in the town centre
  • Free on-site parking

Open Monday 9am to 3pm 

Community market with a diverse selection of goods, including everyday essentials, second-hand, and local artists and makers.

Hoyland - Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

Southgate, Hoyland, Barnsley, S74 9AJ

  • Outdoor market with 30 fixed stalls
  • Free local parking available
  • Pedestrian walkway through to Hoyland town centre


  • Tuesday and Saturday - general market - 8.30am to 3pm

Goods on sale vary on each market day but include fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, bread and cakes, sweets, eggs, clothing, cards, jewellery, crafts and stationery, vacuum cleaner accessories and repairs, bedding and garden ornaments.

Penistone - Thursday and Saturday

Back Lane, Penistone, S36 6DT

  • Semi-indoor market barn
  • Large, free car park shared with Tesco

Open Thursday and Saturday, 8.30am to 2pm

The market is held inside the impressive Oak Barn in the town centre. The main market day on Thursday has a great food offer with over 30 stalls including fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh fish and meat, olives, bread and cakes, cheese, sweets, eggs and freshly made jacket potatoes. Alongside this the market also offers clothing, cards, jewellery, stationery, wool, handbags, flowers, pet products and toiletries.

Wombwell - Tuesday, Friday and Saturday

Market Place, Wombwell, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S73 0AP

  • Outdoor market on the High Street
  • Large free car parks in the town centre

Open Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, 8.30am to 3pm.

Goods on sale vary on each market day but include fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh fish, flowers, sweets, bread and cakes, household goods, tools, mobile phones, clothing, cards, sportswear and trainers plus freshly made jacket potatoes and burgers.
