Hoyland market is located at Southgate, Hoyland, Barnsley, S74 9AJ. The market has 30 fixed stalls, free parking nearby, and a walkway through to Hoyland town centre.
Traditional market days are Tuesdays and Saturdays, from 8:30am to 3pm. The goods on sale vary on each day, but include:
- fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, bread, cakes, sweets and eggs
- clothing and jewellery
- cards, crafts and stationery
- vacuum cleaner accessories and repairs
- bedding
- garden ornaments and bird seed
- plants and flowers
Hoyland also hosts specialist markets and various seasonal markets during the year.
Penistone market
Penistone market is located inside the Oak Barn in the town centre, at Back Lane, Penistone, S36 6DT. The market is a semi-indoor market and has a large, free car park shared with Tesco.
The traditional market day is Thursday, from 8:30am to 2pm. Goods on sale include:
- fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, meat, olives, bread, cakes, cheese, sweets and eggs
- freshly made jacket potatoes
- clothing, jewellery and handbags
- toiletries
- cards and stationery
- wool
- flowers
- pet products
Penistone also hosts specialist markets and various seasonal markets during the year.
Wombwell market
Wombwell market is located at Market Place, Wombwell, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S73 0AP. The market is located on the high street, with free car parking available in the town centre.
The traditional market day is Friday, from 8:30am to 3pm. Goods on sale include:
- fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, sweets, bread and cakes
- freshly made jacket potatoes and burgers
- household goods
- tools
- mobile phones
- clothing, sportswear and trainers
- cards
- flowers

Starting Saturday 25 April 2026, we're holding specialist markets every Saturday in Goldthorpe, Hoyland, Penistone and Wombwell. Whether you're looking for artisan foods, original handmade products, or vintage items, there's sure to be a market for you.
