Changes at our markets due to COVID-19 (coronavirus)
Due to the latest national restrictions non-essential stalls will close from Wednesday 4 November to Wednesday 2 December.
Stalls selling essential items – including meat and fish, pet food and other essential groceries will remain open.
Please adhere to social distancing when visiting the indoor/outdoor markets and shop alone if you can. Shopping visits should be carried out as quickly as possible to allow other shoppers to come into the market and support the traders.
You'll need to wear a face covering before entering the indoor market unless there's a good reason not to do so.
Essential stalls will be trading at the Barnsley Outdoor Market and the Local Markets in Penistone, Wombwell and Hoyland, selling a variety of goods including food, hardware, pet food and plants.
