  • enjoy and achieve
  • be active citizens
  • earn a good living

Role of the Stronger Communities Partnership

The Stronger Communities Partnership’s key role is to:

  • encourage our local partners, voluntary and community sectors to work together
  • promote shared ownership of outcomes
  • enable people to achieve their potential to increase the resilience and wellbeing of the community as a whole

People involved in the Partnership

A wide range of agencies are represented in the Partnership. These include the following statutory and non-statutory organisations:

Partnership priorities

The partnership plan, All Age Early Help Strategywas produced working with a wide range of key stakeholders. It identifies three priorities to achieve the best outcomes for individuals, families and communities within the borough. These are to:

  • put in place the right help, in the right place, at the right time
  • develop strong partnership working and strong leadership
  • empower people and communities to build capacity and resilience so that they can do more for themselves

Our ambition is for a community in which individuals and families are healthy, resilient, confident and have the skills to thrive and achieve their full potential.

The Stronger Communities Partnership Board has the overall responsibility for making sure that partners deliver against the shared priorities. It does this by reviewing its plan on an annual basis to make sure it meets local needs.
