Cawthorne Parish Council submitted the Cawthorne Neighbourhood Development Plan Proposal to Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council for independent examination.
The consultation on the submitted Cawthorne Neighbourhood Development Plan ended on Friday 10 January 2020 at 5pm.
The plan was submitted for examination to an independent examiner. You can read the representations submitted in response to the consultation and the completed examiner's report. The examiner recommended that with modifications the plan meets the basic conditions and other legal requirements.
The council has made a decision to accept the modifications and to submit the plan to referendum. You can read the Regulation 18 decision statement and the basic conditions and compliance statement to learn more.
In accordance with the amended Neighbourhood Planning (Referendum) Regulations 2012, the council may not hold a referendum before Thursday 6 May 2021.
Until then, the Cawthorne Neighbourhood Development Plan can be given significant weight in decision making on planning applications within the Cawthorne Neighbourhood Area.
